It was quite cold on the allotment this evening. The sun seemed low in the sky and offered no warmth to my plot - it is shaded to the south by trees. I even had to put on my coat! it is a greeny grey old and dirty one, but it is warm and wind proof.
With little still growing at this time of the year, I built the sides of a new cold frame. I have built it nice and big and deep so that it will shelter plants to a decent size. You can see a photo of it in the gallery.
I also turned some compost that I have been brewing. It looks good and will definitely be great in another month.
That is all - there is football on tonight and rugby to watch in the morning, then a busy day bringing my boys to their football... so it will be hard to squeeze in
